How a Corporate Design Becomes a Website That Sells

Many companies invest in a new corporate design. Yet on their websites, the content remains the same. The visual design changes—but the structure, messaging, and user navigation stay the same. This was precisely the challenge in our project for CobiNet, a leading provider of communications technology solutions.

After we had already fundamentally revamped the company’s corporate design, the crucial question arose:

How can a new visual identity be transformed into a website that clearly positions the company and communicates its solutions in an understandable way?

The Initial Situation

When the design is new, but the website still thinks like it used to

CobiNet offers a broad portfolio of products and solutions for communications and networking technology. The new corporate design had already established the visual foundation. However, the existing website lagged behind this new brand identity in terms of content and structure. The challenge, therefore, was not simply to modernize the website visually, but to elevate it to a new level in terms of content, structure, and functionality.

After all, a modern website must do more than just look good:

  • • It must provide guidance
  • • It must make complex services easy to understand
  • • And it must consistently bring the brand to life
  • The Target Audience

When technical decision-makers need to quickly understand what solutions are available

The website is aimed at trade visitors and decision-makers in the field of communications and network technology, including:

  • • Planners and engineers
  • • IT and network specialists
  • • Technical buyers
  • • Companies and public institutions
  • This target audience does not expect purely promotional messages.

    They are looking for:

  • • clear information
  • • comprehensible solutions
  • • logical product structures
  • • and quick access to relevant content
  • The new website therefore had to be structured in such a way that visitors could quickly understand what CobiNet offers and where the specific benefits lie—even with an extensive technical portfolio.

    The Communication Concept

When a New Look Becomes a Consistent Brand Identity

The central idea was not only to visually incorporate the new corporate design into the website, but also to use it to develop a consistent brand identity across all media.

After all, brand recognition isn’t created solely by colors, fonts, or design elements. It arises when a brand feels equally clear and consistent across all media.

That is why the website was conceived as part of a larger whole:

    • Catalogs

    • Brochures

    • Advertisements

    • Trade show appearances

    • and the website

In the future, they should all present a unified image and communicate consistently.

At the same time, the communication on the website was aligned more closely with the information needs of the target audience. The focus should not be solely on the sheer variety of products, but rather on a clear presentation of the solutions and their applications.

    The Solution

When a Website Becomes a Structured Sales Tool

The new website for CobiNet was developed to combine brand impact, user-friendliness, and product understanding.

Several strategic elements were central to this approach:

    1. Cross-media brand logic The new corporate design was consistently applied to the website and aligned with the rest of the brand’s communication channels.
    2. Clear Structure of Products and Solutions The extensive product range has been organized into clear categories so that visitors can quickly identify which solutions are relevant to them.
    3. Intuitive Content Architecture Detailed product descriptions and a clean structure help convey even complex technical content in an easy-to-understand way.
    4. User-Friendly Navigation The menu navigation has been clearly structured and supplemented with a search function so that users can find the information they’re looking for more quickly.
    5. Responsive Design The website was designed to function equally well on smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
    6. Optimized Performance Fast loading times ensure a better user experience and enhance the brand’s digital presence.
    7. The result is not just a new website, but a digital platform that consistently advances CobiNet’s brand identity and supports the company’s sales efforts.

    The result

When Brand, Content, and User Experience Finally Align

With its new website, CobiNet now has an online presence that not only presents the company in a visually contemporary way but also aligns with the new corporate design in terms of content. The website strengthens the brand through high recognizability while also providing visitors with significantly better navigation. Products and solutions are now easier to understand, information can be found more quickly, and content is easier to categorize. In addition, CobiNet can independently maintain and further develop the website using the content management system in place.

The result is a digital presence that:

    • consistently carries forward the new corporate design

    • clearly structures the diversity of the offerings

    • and provides visitors with significantly better access to CobiNet’s solutions
